That's me at age 3. And that's my favorite toy. A Polaroid camera that "developed" polaroids on the spot. I remember the camera and thinking how cool it was to stick this seemingly blank plastic slate into the camera that would come out and develop right there before my eyes. There were 4 photos in total. I can't remember for the life of me what the photos were of, but I can remember the feeling of starting out with nothing and creating a something.
I didn't even know this picture existed until my mom randomly emailed it to me this week. I was so excited to get it that I thought I'd share it!!! To think that what I liked to do as a 3 year old could turn into a profession is astounding to me.
I will from now on put very careful consideration into the toys that I buy for my nieces and brand new nephew (Henry, just born in Feb.) now fully embracing the realization that anything I expose them to could develop into not only a passion but a way of life!
